The organization operates on the principle that education should be driven by real needs and the vision of a sustainable future. It encourages students to actively participate in their communities, fostering positive change and contributing to a more beautiful world. Through collaboration with various partners, including corporate donors, BOOST The World is committed to ensuring a brighter future for all involved: children, parents, caregivers, teachers, volunteers, and specialists.
Why we do it
We strive for an evolution in education. An education rooted in love. To thrive in a world that is constantly and rapidly changing, students need an education that inspires them to innovate, find purpose, lead with heart and soul, love to learn, and evolve into autonomous global citizens. Our teachers lead with love, wisdom, understanding, and trust.
Humanity faces immense challenges: ongoing conflicts and wars, widespread poverty and suffering, refugee crises, financial instability, ecological collapse, and increasing division and aimlessness. It is time for an evolutionary transformation of humanity.
Current education systems often focus on individualism, fear, performance, and power. We believe education should instead raise consciousness through spirituality, soul development, and multidimensional living. It’s time to empower a new generation of young, evolutionary thinkers to create meaningful change.
How we do it
Way 1
We work towards an educational evolution rooted in love. To thrive in a world that is constantly and rapidly changing, students need an education that inspires them to innovate, find purpose, lead with heart and soul, love to learn, and develop into autonomous global citizens. Our teachers lead with love, wisdom, understanding, and trust.
Way 2
Through our education programs, we uplift a new generation to become evolutionary change-makers — 250,000 young people between the ages of 18 and 26 empowering them to bring about meaningful socioeconomic transformation.
Way 3
We facilitate the growth and development of learning communities around the world, beginning with our pioneering work in South Africa.
What we do
We believe education can transform the world by raising a new generation of heart-centered leaders. We educate, mentor, uplift, transform, and (re)build global communities. Through our online learning community, we offer workshops and e-books for the whole family, along with a space to connect with other communities.
How are we different
- We strive to make an impact for the longer term. Our programs are based on providing education for the global youth, based on broader knowledge, higher consciousness, intuition, purpose, happiness, health and supporting local communities in a sustainable way.
- We help locals in development zones, where a big part of the population are children, with the development of Learning Communities so that they can be self-sustaining, instead of relying solely on fundraising.
- We help the environment in developed countries with facilitating, (re)building of self-sustaining Learning Communities in those countries as well.

Our Community
Our “Young Leaders”, facilitators, volunteers, community leaders strive to improve themselves and the society around them to be difference makers, authentic, loving, caring, more self responsible, wise, joyful and devoted. We are connected with our own online community learning app.

BOOST The World is a Learning Community where education is shaped from a holistic world approach. We started the reception initiative.
03 Community
Learning and creating together. Equally and with respectful approach to each other. We want to create an environment where everyone feels ‘at home’. The school prioritizes and nurtures relationships between all students, their environment and their community.
04 Autonomy
Teach me to do it myself, independently and from ownership. Be able to learn at your own pace. Our life lesson curriculum adapts to the changing needs of students, so students take ownership of their own learning journey by being involved every step of the way.
05 Nature
Living according to the laws of nature. We pay special attention to the ecosystem, learning about the natural laws of the earth to contribute to a sustainable future.
OUR IDEAL WORLD
“It takes a village to raise a child.”
This is a quote that originates from ancient African tribes. The idea behind this is that if you want to let a child grow up entirely from its own talent, you have to do this with the entire community. We are more than just a shelter or school, we are a learning environment for children, parents, educators and teachers. A world in which we can learn together is the ideal world for us.
IN 2018 WE LAUNCHED BOOST THE WORLD
Rosanne van Zalingen, the founder of BOOST The World foundation, grew up in a bullying, disempowering and unhealthy school environment. Therefore, Rosanne started dreaming of a peaceful world, bringing compassion for all those lives, where as many children and youngsters as possible get the opportunity to live a conscious, happy, healthy and prosperous life; to be seen and to be heard. So they can take good care of themselves, the environment and the planet.
The only thing that can have a transformative effect is education, the development of humans. And that starts at the conception. Every child has the right to develop, unfortunately not every child has the opportunity to develop in an optimal environment. At BOOST The World foundation, we focus on human development. And we provide education through a holistic approach.
Our community was created from our shared vision to make the world a bit more beautiful for a new generation. We all believe that development and education from a holistic approach is the key to a fruitful future for people, animals and the planet. In collaboration with real ‘Change Makers’, partners, ‘Young Leaders’, sponsors and volunteers, we together ensure a bright future for global communities.
2018
- BOOST The World was founded in 2018.
- First Young Leaders Expedition to South Africa.
- First Young Leaders (Kyara, 18 years, and Sem, 12 years, then) were the first young leaders to travel to Africa and help with the building of the first BOOST creche for orphans (a.k.a. creché)
- The Young Leaders Board was started. The first members were Sem & Declan.
2019
- In 2019, the first ecological daycare for 55 children in South Africa was opened.
- We started giving workshops at schools in the Netherlands, educating (future) Young Leaders about sustainability and how to become a heart-centered leader. We also gave the Young Leaders insights about whаt the lives of the kids in South Africa look like and what they can do as Young Leaders to change that for the better.
2020
- In 2020, the first group of young people, between 10 and 30 years old, went to South Africa on an expedition to help the local community there with their hands.
- The foundation was also laid for operating on a larger scale. Barrie van den Berg has been hired as director to be able to operate locally in South Africa and to manage the projects for the big goal of the foundation – building eco-conscious communities.
- Lora Zayn started as marketing coordinator and as mentor of students, teaching them how to be more confident in order to exhibit leadership in what they do and to contribute to the world from a young age.
- In October, we started with an educational Mastermind group of 10 students, together making a big plan on how to create even more heart-centered leaders within the next generation.
- We started to support, fund & mentoring a school in Pakistan.
2021
- Covid-19 infected the whole planet, also our foundation and projects. We have worked 1 year long to connect with other NGOs, investors, etc. and many volunteers stopped to take care of their own.
- Barrie and Rosanne kept going to work on the higher mission and created a project plan for the long term.
- We worked on a new sustainable model for the future of the learning communities.
- we still supported the Pakistan school.
2022
- The second expedition with 20 people between 9 months and 40 years was successful.
- We bought 2 hectares of land in South Africa to build our first learning community.
- Declan has been an intern in South Africa.
- He assists a new group of tree students for an expedition of 9 weeks with the South Africa team.
- Rebranding of website & the foundation.

Our goal is to align BOOST The World projects in with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and establish learning communities where we integrate collaborative projects into sustainable local economies.
The project objectives are based on the needs of the identified community needs and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability involves maintaining a constant state of well-being by intertwining environmental, economic, and social aspects. Over the past 50 years, global awareness has grown, particularly in uplifting youth and nature in Africa, Asia, and South America.
The Problem
Projects relying solely on funding and grants often prove unsustainable, falling short of expectations within 5 or 10 years.
Our Approach
We aim for long-term impact by focusing on global youth education in ecosystems and supporting local communities to build sustainable learning environments. Our agenda emphasizes simplifying daily activities for a productive, sustainable process that aligns with nature. We seek to reconnect humanity with its roots, emphasizing individual uniqueness to enhance our diverse community-based projects. Educating youth on sustainability empowers the life cycle, restoring harmony with nature.

Our model offers an investment platform with social and economic benefits. Socially, partnerships with local communities address their development needs, while economically, partners gain returns through startup businesses, local economic development, infrastructure, education programs, and tourism.

How much of my donation actually goes to a project?
Over 90% of your donation directly supports our mission to help children in South Africa through food programs, access to clean water, and education. In doing so, we empower them to become the leaders of tomorrow. We also provide education to their communities. Only a small portion of donations is used to maintain our website. Transparency and impact are our top priorities. Feel free to ask us about it.
Can I visit the project areas?
Absolutely and we’d love that! We regularly organize both work visits and private trips for you, your family, colleagues, or business partners. During your visit, you’ll have the chance to contribute hands-on and experience the direct impact of our projects. Your trip supports the foundation and contributes to real change. We also offer opportunities to volunteer for longer periods on-site. Certain conditions and costs apply. Contact us for more information.
Does BOOST The World have projects outside of Africa?
Yes! First and foremost, we’re active in the Netherlands. We visit schools to talk about our mission and the project in South Africa. We also teach children that education is about more than just reading and math. Our presentations focus on personal leadership and are tailored to primary school levels. We expect to expand to Indonesia, India, and Pakistan soon. Ultimately, we aim to support children around the world in their personal development as future leaders.
